Host plants inside the breeding net enclosure at the Wackwack Golf and
Country Club butterfly ranching project. The area encourages the butterflies to lay their
eggs on their preferred hosts making it easier to harvest the young caterpillars.
Another site was developed outside the enclosure to raise a thousand citrus plants as a
feed source for the growing caterpillars. |

Unidentifed caterpillar captured from a felled citrus tree during a
typhoon. It failed to reach pupal stage, dying-off from without the mother tree. We also
noticed that it was not chewing on the leaves of the host plant. |
